Required for nationally recognised training
We can't issue a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment or qualification without your USI.
A USI is your lifelong reference number for nationally recognised training in Australia. You need one before we can issue your certificate. It's free and you can create it online in a few minutes.
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a 10-character code made up of numbers and letters, issued by the Australian Government. It links all your nationally recognised training records in one place, so you can access your training history online for life.
We can't issue a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment or qualification without your USI.
You only ever need one USI. It stays the same no matter where or when you study.
View and download a transcript of your nationally recognised training completed since 2015.
Creating a USI is free on the official government website, usi.gov.au.

If you've done nationally recognised training since 2015, you probably already have a USI. Use 'Find my USI' on usi.gov.au to retrieve it. Please don't create a second one.
Enter your USI in your online enrolment form, or add it to your profile in the ATI student portal.
Having trouble? We can create a USI on your behalf with your written permission and identification. Contact student support.
You need a USI for nationally recognised training. You don't need one for non-accredited short courses, which are clearly marked on the course page.
We can't issue your nationally recognised certificate until you provide a valid USI. In limited cases, exemptions may apply — see usi.gov.au.
Use 'Find my USI' on usi.gov.au. You'll need the same details you used when you created it.
