Short courses and tickets
Quick, affordable courses such as first aid and CPR, RSA and RSG, and the White Card — often completed in a day or less of face-to-face training. [CONFIRM durations per course]
Certificates
Entry-level qualifications, such as the Certificate II in Security Operations, that prepare you to work in a specific industry.
Higher qualifications

Government-funded training
You may be eligible for Queensland Government subsidised training through Career Start on selected qualifications. Eligibility applies.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Already have experience? RPL may recognise skills you already hold so you don't repeat training.
Traineeships
Earn while you learn with a paid job and structured training. You'll need an employer.
Common questions
Do I need a USI to enrol?
Yes. You need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to receive nationally recognised training records in Australia. It's free and takes a few minutes to create at usi.gov.au. USI help.
I've never studied before. Will I cope?
Most of our entry-level courses are designed for people new to the industry. Each course page lists any entry requirements, such as language, literacy and numeracy levels or equipment you'll need. If you're unsure, talk to us before you enrol.
Are there minimum age requirements?
Some courses and licences have age requirements. For example, you must be 18 or older to hold a Queensland security licence [CONFIRM with OFT]. Check the course page or ask us.
Will a course get me a job?
Training gives you the skills and credentials employers look for, but it can't guarantee employment or the issue of a licence. Licences are issued by the relevant regulator.
